Don't understand the reasons for good reviews.

Not as funny as it thinks it is. Not as insightful as it thinks it is.Ordered it by mistake but would have kept it if it was any good. The "laugh out loud" reviews worry me in that anyone could have found this prententious prose funny.I ordered it along with another book on arguments in error. This book doesn't really give much insight into argument and logic.

Helpful book for essay writing

My class was recommended this book by my English Literature tutor at university to help use write our essays. It's a very slim volume and I found quite a few of its sections useful for helping me structure the arguments in my essays.

Really useful.

This is an exhaustive look at the rules of argument. Made it feel at times almost like a computer language. Very good though.
